The quarterfinals begin on Friday, when the league’s top four teams, including regular-season champion Purdue, take to the Target Center court for the first time. The semifinals and championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The Big Ten Network will broadcast the games from Wednesday to Friday, followed by CBS for the semis and finals.
The winner, as traditionally, receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The whole 68-team field will be unveiled next Sunday evening, following the conclusion of the Big Ten championship.
Purdue won last year’s event in Chicago. The Big Ten Tournament has always been held in Chicago or Indianapolis, except in 2017 and 2018, when it was held in Washington, D.C., and New York, respectively.
This is the last time each conference member will be invited. The Big Ten will limit its tournaments (men’s and women’s) to 15 of the 18 teams next season, with four more schools joining.
